Historia de Sonrisas

Lorena Mora-Mowry founded MujerLatinaToday.com two decades ago to raise awareness, promote advocacy, and spur action for the Hispanic Latino community in Cincinnati, Ohio, and beyond. She engages with, informs, and inspires the community through her website, social media, and Latina Today Podcast.

Since 2011, Lorena interviewed over 200 Latinos during Hispanic Heritage Month to celebrate their leadership, accomplishments, and experiences. She also featured Latinos in the One Story a Day (2024) and Rooted Leadership (2025) series. Lorena has interviewed almost 2,000 individuals on her YouTube channel, Facebook page, and Latina Today podcast, including leaders in art, business, healthcare, entertainment, and community sectors.

Lorena collaborates with the Hispanic Chamber of Cincinnati, USA, the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission, and Christ Hospital Health Network to promote heart health among Latinas. Lorena hosted podcasts and produced video interviews for the “Latina Heart Awareness Campaign” (2023). Lorena prioritizes eliminating mental health barriers and stigma in the Latino community. To raise awareness about conscious choices that enhance well-being, she created a video/podcast series titled “Intentional Self-Care” (2025-2026).

Lorena is a board member of the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati Foundation (HCCUSA Foundation) and Pilar Education, and the creator of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Cincinnati’s “Kudos Corner,” which celebrates Latino achievements in Northern Kentucky and the Cincinnati metropolitan area.
