Dear Community Members, Please join us in an important discussion about immigration policies and how they affect the Latino/Hispanic population. Our guest speaker is the attorney Marilyn Zayas Davis.
Marilyn Zayas-Davis has practiced immigration law for many years. She represents companies petitioning for employees, individuals petitioning for family members and asylum clients petitioning for refuge in the United States. In 2001 she won in the landmark decision State v. Yanez, which set a statewide precedent enlarging the rights of immigrant defendants.
Zayas-Davis serves as the Legal Advisor for the Ohio chapter of League of Latino American Citizens (LULAC). Zayas-Davis has served as a member of the Cincinnati Ballet Board of Directors and “Centro De Amistad,” an organization dedicated to providing services to immigrants. She regularly speaks on legal, immigration, and Hispanic issues.
