Javier Mendoza and his band return to Cincinnati/N. KY for one night only at The (New) Ludlow Theater, home of Circus Mojo.

Cincinnati/NKY has become a regular stop on Javier’s tour schedule, and he calls it his “second home”.  Javier has been voted 2011 and 2009’s Best Male Vocalist in St. Louis, listed as one of “2009’s Hottest Acts” by Campus Events Magazine  and Billboard Magazine simply said “Tremendous!”

This will be one of Javier’s first U.S. shows after his recent tour of Spain.

“Rockin the Big Top” is a unique concept from the folks at Circus Mojo, bringing together the best of local and touring musicians with the incredible performers of Circus Mojo.  Jugglers, acrobats and aerialists choreograph their performances with the mood and rhythm of the musicians, making each show a one of a kind event.

With 14 albums spanning twelve years, and writing and performing in both English and Spanish, Javier demonstrates that he can both rock the house and deliver “impassioned  ballads with evocative lyrics and melodies.”  On each CD he combines new influences, new musical inspirations and life experiences with the common thread of hope for the future.

His dedication to creating new and different material and his passion for live performance keeps bringing the fans back again and again.  Whether he’s playing for 100 or a crowd of 10,000, Javier makes each show unforgettable.

“The physical and emotional energy he delivers is truly amazing and must be experienced to be believed.”

Javier has received many honors throughout his career. He was a finalist in the Independent Music Awards 2007, won Best St. Louis World Music and Pop Artist 2000-2004,

became a Budweiser True Music artist in 2005, has had songs featured on MTV’s Real World, multiple magazine features and live performances on several TV shows.  He has also worked

with some of the best musicians in the region and shared the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson, Blues Traveler, Everclear, Los Lobos, and The Roots. His tours have taken him across the country,

to Spain and Greece, he has performed at the opening games for both the St. Louis Cardinals and football Rams as well as playing at the request of the Pope John Paul II

at special stadium performance in honor of his visit to St. Louis.
