Congratulations to Dra. Erendira López-García for receiving The “Amiga Querida” award from Wright State University Office of Latino Affairs, Dayton, Ohio.

The “Amiga Querida” award is given to who has been a friend or great support system to one or all of the following: The Office of Latino Affairs, El Puente and -Latino students (pre-college or current).

Erendira will be receiving the Amiga Querida Award with Mary Jean Henry and Meltem Kokaly.  Matt Boaz is honored with the El Amigo Querido Award. Luis Miranda and Joanna Fadel will also be honored with the El Jefe and La Jefa Award, respectively.  Jim Brown & The Nutter Center will be receiving Special Consideration as well as the Melissa Ortiz-Bebbington Scholarship.

All these awards will be presented  at the THIRD ANNUAL AMIGOS LATINOS GALA  — an event to celebrate students, community members, staff, faculty, and the great accomplishments of  The Office of Latino Affairs. The Amigos Gala will be held on April 22, 2016 at the Wright State University Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
