CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Opera invites you to learn about one of the most popular stage works in the world – Bizet’s Carmen. With its bounty of well-known melodies, vivid characterizations, and a glimpse of life in 19th-century Seville, Carmen is one of opera’s true blockbusters. Cincinnati Opera Managing Director Chris Milligan shares the story of how Carmen came to be, why it continues to enchant today, and what will make Cincinnati Opera’s production this summer a must-see.
