MIAMI, FL – Clearpath™, a provider of simplified, online immigration solutions, announced today the appointment of Felice Gorordo as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gorordo will be based out of Clearpath’s main office in Miami.
Gorordo most recently served as Clearpath’s Head of Business Development, where he was responsible for spearheading the company’s business development and strategic growth activities. The son of Cuban immigrants who came to the U.S. in search of freedom, opportunity and the “American Dream,” Gorordo has extensive leadership experience in both the private and public sectors.
“With his prestigious private and public sector leadership experience, Felice is well-equipped to lead Clearpath in this new phase,” said Michael J. Petrucelli, chairman and founder of Clearpath. “We are proud to have Felice at the helm at a critical time for Clearpath’s growth and immigration reform in our country.”
Before joining Clearpath, Gorordo was appointed by President Barack Obama as one of 15 White House Fellows for 2011-2012. Founded in 1964, it is America’s most prestigious and competitive non-partisan leadership development and public service program. In this capacity, he served as the White House Fellow for President Barack Obama’s Domestic Policy Advisor Cecilia Munoz, working on Latino, immigration and business outreach in the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House.
“I am honored to take on this new leadership role with Clearpath,” Gorordo said. “With our innovative technology and expert team, I believe Clearpath is on the cutting edge of revolutionizing the immigration process, and I am excited to help take our company to the next level.”
Prior to serving at the White House, Gorordo led government sales and business development for Liberty Power Corp., the fastest-growing Hispanic-owned business in the U.S. He has also served as a strategy consultant for the president of Jackson Health Systems and as a member of the University of Miami’s Energy Security Task Force. In the administration of President George W. Bush, Felice worked in the White House Office of Political Affairs, served as an aide to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez and was the Special Assistant to the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Director Emilio Gonzalez.
Gorordo also co-founded and leads Roots of Hope, a national non-profit organization, which focuses on youth empowerment in Cuba. In 2009, Gorordo was an advisor to 17-time Grammy winner Juanes and helped organize the historic “Peace without Borders” concert in Cuba, which 1.2 million people attended. PODER Magazine has named Gorordo one of the “100 Poderosos” Most Influential Hispanics in the U.S., and he has been featured on CNN’s “Young People Who Rock.”
Clearpath is revolutionizing the confusing, costly and paper-based immigration filing process, just as TurboTax transformed tax filing. More than 100 million immigration forms are filed each year in the U.S., with any one person filing multiple forms over a number of years as his or her status changes. Clearpath’s patented software was developed by former U.S. immigration agency leaders who understand how to navigate the government’s complex system. Our simple online solution offers all the most requested forms, including citizenship, deferred action for childhood arrivals, H1-B visa, work authorization, green card, etc. Using plain language, Clearpath walks a user, step-by-step, through each form, checking data in real time for potential errors and compliance. Clearpath’s solution is easy, secure and affordable, costing roughly one-tenth of the fees charged by lawyers. This venture-backed technology company was founded by Chairman Michael J. Petrucelli, the former head of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). For more information, please visitwww.ClearpathImmigration.com or www.CaminoClaro.com.
